Principal's Message

Welcome Park Avenue Elementary Families! 

This is my 17th year in education. I began my education career as a Gifted Teacher in the Pickerington Local School District where I was for 12 years before accepting a position as a Preschool Director and Special Education Coordinator at Madison Local Schools. I was then hired by the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center to serve as a Gifted Coordinator where I worked with their member schools and teachers to improve teaching strategies and gifted education for students, and was assigned to Mount Gilead Schools as Gifted Coordinator. Mount Gilead Schools has been my home for the past three years. I am no longer the Gifted Coordinator for the district, but am the PK Director and K-5 Special Education Coordinator, in addition to my current role as building principal at Park Avenue. I’m very excited to work with the staff, students, families, and community in this new capacity.

My husband, Danny, and I have a one year old daughter, Cora, and we are expecting a son in January of 2025. We enjoy boating, traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with our family and friends. I look forward to getting to know and interacting with you as we have many plans to continue to include families for various events throughout the school year.
